The key differences between Manganese Sand and Greensand
Composition:
Manganese Sand is mainly MnO2; Greensand is glauconite coated with MnO2.
Regeneration:
Manganese Sand usually does not required chemical regeneration; Greensand requires KMnO4.
Operation:
Manganese Sand needs an external oxidant; Greensand has built-in oxidizing ability.
Maintenance:
Greensand requires more operational control and chemical handing.
